July 27, 2018: I have not posted since 2015 ; lazy or busy?

So here we are. Joaquin and I.  We met 15 years ago. Married since the 7th of May 2015.   Me splitting my time between  USA, Mexico and Spain.

Enjoying life and happy to be alive.  A lot has happened since my last post in 2015.  One of the most important things is my finding in Istanbul our two babies.  French bulldogs.  The female is Mona, 6 years old  and the male is El Guapo. who is 5.  they are adorable each in their own way. Pictured first is El Guapo.  I have to look for a picture of our girl:  Mona.

Billy and Joaquin got married on May 7, 2015 in City Hall, Barcelona, Spain

Joaquin and I got married on May 7, 2015 in the registrar's office of City Hall in Barcelona, Spain.   It was a fast one.  about 7 minutes.  but it was lovely.   We then went back to our house in Barcelona and had a lovely wedding lunch and wedding cake with champagne.

Haven't posted anything in a long time.  Could not figure out how to access my blog for over 8 months.  Finally, figured it out.  It is hot here in Barcelona but  cool here in Casa de Billy Barcelona. (we have air conditioning).

What has been happening.  well we have a new guesthouse/bed and breakfast.  Zagal House Sitges-Barcelona.  the website is:  www.zagalhousesitges.com

It is a lovely 115 year old Catalan Village house in the very center of the village of Sitges, which is 35 minutes south of Barcelona by train.  Trains leave both Sants train  station in Barcelona and the main train station in Sitges every 30 minutes or less.

Zagal House Sitges-Barcelona is located one half block down from the train station on  the street called Francescu Guma.  It is a 3 story white house on the right hand side with green shutters.

MICHAEL JAMES, my boyfriend of 21 years from 1972 until his death in 1992

Michael James, my boyfriend of 21 years from 1972 until his death in 1992 from AIDS.  He was magical and beautiful and I miss him.

Michael James ,May 1, 1950-July 25,1993

Michael James.  My lover, boyfriend, business partner for 21 years.  Died of AIDS related illnesses on the 25th of July , 1993.  He was 43 years old.  The picture that is shown here is how he looked the day he came into Chez Panisse (where I was working) for lunch with his boss Mme. Simone Beck, co-author with Julia Child of Mastering the Art of French Cooking.  My life changed forever that on Fall day in Berkeley.  Within 3 months I was living with him in Paris.

I miss him terribly.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all from Mexico

Dear Friends and Family: We are here on the Pacific Coast of Mexico north of Acapulco. Our house is called Villa del Angel. It on an island. It has a garden and pool and the beach in the back and in the front is a fresh water lagoon. 10 men are working on the house to do the repairs of a very bad hurricane and storm season that has recently ended and left the Acapulco area in bad shape. But the government is rebuilding the roads and many people are rebuilding and or painting and repairing their houses.  Much happiness to you all and the best for 2014. love, Billy
